Register to Vote
If you live in Scott County, Kentucky, you can register to vote if you are a U.S. citizen, a Kentucky resident, and will be at least 18 years old by the next election. Registration can be completed online through Kentucky’s GoVote system, by mail, or in person at the Scott County Clerk’s Office. Voters must register at least 29 days before an election to be eligible to vote in that election.

Ballot Positions
Scott County voters can view ballot positions for the 2026 primary election through the Scott County Clerk’s Office. Ballot positions show the order candidates will appear on the ballot and are set after a public drawing for contested races. Sample ballots and ballot position information are available through the county clerk or Kentucky’s GoVote system.

How to Register to Vote
The Voter Registration Department performs a wide variety of duties related to the election process. We are responsible for registering voters, keeping the voter registrations up-to-date, providing voting locations, recruiting poll workers for election day, maintaining and securing the voting machines, and providing election results once the election process is complete.
