What is a Title?
A Title is a legal document, establishing a person or business as the legal owner of a vehicle or vessel. When a vehicle or vessel is sold from one citizen or business to another in Kentucky, the title must be transferred to the new owner within 15 days.

All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)
ATV’s purchased on or after July 01, 2010 are required to be titled but NOT registered.
ATVs purchased before July 01, 2010 are required to obtain certificate of titles for them.
- To title an ATV, you will need the following information:
- Application for Title Registration form TC96-182
- A properly assigned Certificate of Origin or title
- Signed and notarized bill of sale
