SCAM ALERT

We have been made aware of an email scam currently circulating in our community with the name of Clerk Johnson and the Georgetown/Scott County Planning and Zoning Commission requiring the recipient to make payment for an outstanding invoice via ACH or ‘Wire Transfer’.  The recipient is instructed to communicate only through email for ‘administrative tracking’ purposes.  PLEASE DO NOT respond to this email or make any kind of payment.  It is fraudulent and not associated with the office of the Scott County Clerk or the Planning and Zoning Commission.

REMEMBER, our office will not contact you via email for payment.  Stay alert and help spread awareness to protect others in our community.
